Clojure SYNC advice
I made two videos about coming to Clojure SYNC. One is about planning to come early for Mardi Gras. The other is about reasons your company may want to send you to Clojure SYNC.
Remember, the hotel discount ends December 21. After that, you're on your own. The price will go up and the rooms will sell out! I've also added some low-cost hostel options that are within walking distance.

Software Developer job at Democracy Works
My former employer is looking for a programmer. They're very good with remote (I worked remotely). They have a great remote culture and great benefits. They also full stack Clojure(Script) (on Docker) and Datomic. Do apply and tell them I sent you! They're a great bunch doing good work to help people vote.
I also hear that Apple will be hiring Clojure programmers in California and Austin, TX.
Linked Book
This book is from 2002, when people were still wondering about this new, networked world we were entering. It traces the development of modern network theory and how it applies to many things in nature and in the artificial world. I especially liked the idea of "scale free networks" that shows why winner-takes-all is a common pattern on the internet. A pretty interesting read from 15 years on.
